What happens at my pre op visit?

  • Measurements will be taken
  • You will see Dr. Calotti for counselling regarding anaesthesia type, lens type and refractive correction

What kind of refractive correction is offered?

  • Astigmatism correction with Limbal Relaxing Incision or Toric Lens
  • Multifocal Lenses

What kind of anaesthesia does Dr. Calotti use?

  • In most cases (95%) Dr. Calotti only uses local anaesthesia with eye drops and gel application
  • 5% General Anaesthesia (special cases)

When can I get glasses after surgery?

  • One month later

What do I need to know about my post operative Cataract Surgery Care?

  • It is a day surgery
  • You will need a driver to accompany you
  • You will be using eye drops and/or ointment for three weeks after surgery
  • Detailed instructions will be given to you on discharge
