Medical Office Assistant

We are searching for the newest member of the GLEC family! Are you a people person who wants an opportunity to grow your skill set while serving your community? Our team environment provides training and support to the selected individual to develop expertise as an ophthalmic technician. Responsibilities of an ophthalmic technician include: interacting with patients to take case history, performing diagnostic tests, instilling eye drops, calibrating and cleaning instruments . The position requires good computer skills, fast and accurate typing, familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records, good people skills, and the ability to multitask. This position also provides the pathway to cross train into other positions within the clinic.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, while maintaining a calm and patient manner. Candidates must be willing to learn new skills, have a positive attitude and be a team player. Training will be provided to the right candidate.
