At GLEC, our team has made it our priority to be available for our patients during this difficult time. We are taking all precautions to keep our patients and staff safe. Click here to view the steps we have implemented to ensure our patient's safety.
Scheduled surgeries, procedures and appointments are currently continuing. If you have an appointment scheduled you will be receiving a call from our staff shortly to outline additional precautions pertaining to your upcoming appointment. Due to the increased risk of transmission of Omicron, we have implemented the following office protocols and ask that you please read the points below prior to coming for your appointment and adhere to them during your visit.
- Only patients with an appointment are allowed in the clinic (driver/family members stay in the car).
- A proper surgical grade mask must be worn and stay on at ALL times while in the office.
- Sanitize hands prior to entering the office.
- Limit your clinic stay and talking.
- Limit in person visits to necessary appointments only.

Dr. Fadi Calotti
Dr. Fadi Calotti is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has undergone Ophthalmology training through two residencies and a Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at the Henry Ford Health System, Wayne State University in Michigan and has extensive experience in medical and surgical Ophthalmology, having performed tens of thousands of surgical procedures.
As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at McMaster University, Dr. Calotti is involved in teaching Ophthalmology and Family Medicine Residents as well as Medical Students. Dr. Calotti is also a clinical instructor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo and is involved in teaching Optometry students through their Ophthalmology rotation.
