Dr. Fadi Calotti

Ophthalmologist

Dr. Fadi Calotti is the founder of Great Lakes Eye Centre and a board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 25 years of surgical experience. Since opening the practice in 2007, he has helped thousands of patients restore their vision with compassionate, patient-centered care. In addition to caring for patients, he teaches future physicians and optometrists through his roles at McMaster University and the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Calotti knew early in his training that surgery was where he was meant to be. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, graduating with first honours, before pursuing a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology (DABO).

Outside of medicine, Dr. Calotti enjoys travelling and speaks multiple languages. As a lifelong sports fan, he proudly supports Manchester United and Detroit’s major sports teams. He loves playing sports, especially swimming and pickleball, and also enjoys listening to music.
